Clinic Visits

v Take these items with you-Expect a long day and plan accordingly:

       oPill Box
       oControl Book
       oInsulin Kit
       oRecent Hospital Discharge Orders (If available)
       oSmall spiral notebook of questions/concerns
       oBottled water and a snack
       oIf patient is taking IV medcations, carry and extra dose with you including flushes

v Special Note:

If you live out of town and have moved back home it is advisable to pack several days of clothes for return clinic visits in case your loved one is admitted to the hospital directly from the clinic.  This is not uncommon and many people are not prepared. 

Return Hospital Visits
