If you haven't heard the news, there is a new non-profit organziation that will be of interest to all lung transplant recipients.  It's called the Lung Transplant Foundation and it's primary mission will be to promote research that will extend the outcomes of lung transplant recipients. The founding Board of Directors has just held their first meeting and we're taking steps to now organize further.

I am letting you know because we will be calling upon the whole lung transplant community to get involved with this effort and to join the foundation if they wish.

Currently, we have partnered with the North Carolina Transplant Foundation that provides patient support to all solid organ recipients for the upcoming event - the Triangle Walk and Rock. It's being held on Sunday, September 28 from 2-5 in the Duke Gardens. We will be sponsoring the event and in return will benefit from the proceeds. I thought perhaps you could post something about the event on the website. I'm attaching the registration form.
